Rob Lamberti

During my 30-year career as a journalist, I have built a solid reputation and thorough working knowledge and understanding of the editorial and production environments within the industry. I have worked for newspapers during both their glory days and their tumultuous times as they struggle to evolve into multi-platform content providers. I have been a frontline participant as newspapers go through the difficult process of accommodating the objectivity of journalism with the subjectivity of being a profitable business. I bring my newsroom experiences to the classroom where I aim to teach my students best practices in an ever-changing profession. I teach my students the skills they need to do the job well, and I show my students how to use these skills, their talents, and abilities to do the job responsibly and compassionately.
I have also volunteered as a participant at media training sessions with Toronto, York and Peel Police Services, at the Ontario Police College in Aylmer, and the Rotman School of Management at University of Toronto, and at the University Guelph-Humber. I am a judge for the Toronto Board of Trade Police Officer of the Month/Year committee.
