I'm a philosophy student interested in effective altruism, psychology, and philosophy.
My primary research interests are in moral cognition and interdisciplinary approaches to understanding the nature of morality, judgment, and intuition. I am especially interested in the evolution of normative cognition, including how people acquire norms, the extent of cross-cultural variation in normative judgment, and the role that cultural learning plays in such variation. Other research interests include:
moral cognition • experimental philosophy • meta-ethics • biomedical ethics • existential risk • Bayesian statistics • psychology of heuristics and biases • utilitarianism • transhumanism • life extension technology • human enhancement • philosophy of mind • philosophy of cognitive science • consciousness • mind perception • psychology of human sexuality • evolutionary psychology
