Landon Blake
Land Surveyor in Stockton, California
I grew up in Northwestern Montana, just outside the west boundary of Glacier National Park, down the road from the confluence of the Middle Fork and North Fork of the Flathead River. While in Montana I attended the land surveying program at Flathead Valley Community College under the great mentoring of Dave Dorsett and Bob Beall. I currently work as a land surveyor and the Mapping Department Manager for Hawkins and Associates, a small civil engineering company in Modesto, California. I live with my wife Monique, a preschool teacher, in the Little John’s Creek Neighborhood of South Stockton. I enjoy hiking, backpacking, landscape photography, graphic design and Java programming. I’m an advocate of open source software, open hardware, and open technology standards. I’m very interested in exploring and improving the intersection of land surveying and GIS.
