Paul Landry
New Orleans, LA
My name is Paul Landry, Jr.I am a retired 15-year veteran of the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office. Born in New Orleans, LA, I was a resident of the New Orleans and surrounding areas for 32 years until the unfortunate events of Hurricane Katrina.During my high school years, I was a member of the world renown St. Augustine Marching 100. During my time in the band, I learned the importance of discipline. Discipline was a way of life not only for the band, but for every student at the school.Being an all male Catholic High School, we were held to higher than normal standards in the community. This helped to place me on a great path to success in life.
Following in the footsteps of my father and grandfather, I decided to go into law enforcement. After a two-year stint in college, I decided to join the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s office. During my time there, I worked in the About Face Program, a program designed to instill and teach discipline while offering an opportunity for re-entry into society, the Disciplinary Program, to rehabilitate offenders, and the Federal Division, a division aimed at dealing with immigration and Homeland Security. After 15 years I suffered a stroke that left me with right side weakness. Since then Life has been a struggle, but I maintain to keep focus and determined to reach my goal of creating an Oscar winning creation
