I love experimenting and trying new things, learning after each project. Of the many different genres one can test their newfound knowledge and methods learned, cooking has resonated the most with me.

Cooking has been a passion of mine since I was younger, mostly being fueled by my mother. Starting almost as a chore, I would help her in the kitchen during holidays, but it wasn't long until I found myself in the kitchen without her request. Whether it be making a casual pasta dish or cooking a traditional dish from our Puerto Rican roots, I found myself enjoying the process of turning a bunch of simple ingredients into a cohesive dish. The countless hours of cooking shows I have watched in my life have also had a great effect on my interest in the culinary world, which has caused my bond to cooking to only grow stronger as I have aged.

The satisfaction of making a dish that earns the compliments of those eating it is great, but the pride felt in oneself after perfecting a dish that has taken many attempts to master is second to none. Later in my life, I hope to find this feeling in my career after I move on from my current field in engineering.
