Seasonal Promenade

My name is Lanette Odell and I have always had a love of sewing and crafting that began at a young age. At the age of 14, I began my own sewing business, mostly hemming pants and dresses, for women from my Mother's place of employment. And, thus began my entrepreneurship with the sewing craft.

Currently, I reside in Northern New Jersey, am a single Mother of two teenage boys and operated my business from a home studio. Working from my home studio has its advantages for my family, as well as my customers. My hours are as flexible; I strive to always accommodate the schedules of my customers. Fittings, drop off and pick up of clothing items or projects is fast and easy!. Customers love the convenience!!

Two years ago, I expanded my craft and began custom embroidery. With the state of art HCS compact 12 needle machine, customized embroidery can be done inexpensively and professionally. Embroidery adds beauty, style or identification to any apparel or home decor. I receive compliments on the outcome of these projects. I am always expanding my craft, and have begun the creation of T Shirt Quilts . These one of a kind heirloom quilts are a pleasure; making a keep sake for others brings me personal joy.

One of my customers recently said, "... the Art of Sewing was a Dying Art..."...BUT not for me, the general sewing keeps me busy and the desire to create keeps me making new items.
