I am a PhD Candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Washington in Seattle. I work with David Baker in the Institute for Protein Design. My thesis project is to design proteins that switch between on/off states to control biological function. Nature has evolved proteins that do exactly this, yet these proteins fail for modern bioengineering and medicinal purposes due to issues with stability, specificity, and modularity. I aim to solve these problems using synthetic proteins designed in the Baker Lab.
Towards a career in biotechnology, I am looking for internships in industry and connections in Seattle biotech. I am working on the Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate program to develop my business skills for my future career. Please feel free to contact me over email or LinkedIn.
