My vision is to commercialize plant-based water purification products while developing young ‘waterpreneurs’ in Africa.
In villages from Sudan to the Himalayas, seeds of the Moringa Oleifera tree have been used to purify water for centuries. Recently, research has shown this inexpensive, plentiful, biodegradable substance capable of extracting toxic heavy metals found in coal ash ponds, as well as inhibiting the maturation of mosquitos responsible for malaria and the zika virus.
We named our enterprise BlueGoldWorks as water is the most precious commodity in the 21 century. BlueGoldWorks aims to partner with established microloan-financed and community-centric organizations to sustainably distribute products and services in developing nations. In the developed world, BlueGoldWorks will partner with pollution remediation, mosquito abatement, and chemical free water purification firms.
