Langston Verdin is the Director of Community Partnerships and Strategy at the Greater Milwaukee Committee (GMC), where he builds cross-sector relationships to advance strategies that improve the health, wellbeing, and economic vitality of all Milwaukeeans. In this role, he plays a central part in executing GMC’s strategic priorities and overseeing community-focused initiatives that align business, government, and nonprofit leadership.

Previously, Langston served as Director of Health Strategy at the City of Milwaukee Health Department, where he led a multidisciplinary team focused on community engagement, systems improvement, and policy development. Earlier in his career, he spent more than 17 years at Children’s Wisconsin, leading initiatives across child welfare, pediatric asthma, adolescent health, population health, and payment innovation.

Langston is the founder and Co-Executive Director of MKE FreshAir Collective, a community-based environmental health nonprofit that uses neighborhood-level air quality data to inform policy and improve health outcomes. Since launching in 2019, the organization has deployed more than 25 air quality sensors across Milwaukee, primarily in historically disinvested Black and Brown communities.

With over 20 years of experience in public health and community development, Langston is deeply committed to equity, community empowerment, and creating environments where children and families thrive. He holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee Zilber College of Public Health, is an alumnus of Marquette University’s Future Milwaukee program and Harvard Business School’s Young American Leaders Program, and has volunteered on many community boards of directors.

Outside of work, Langston enjoys neighborhood walks with his family and competing in kickball, softball, and paintball leagues.
