Alec Lanigan

My name is Alec Lanigan, and I am currently a student at Grand Valley State University. I am enrolled in the Sports Management Program with a minor in General Business Studies with an expected graduation date of April 26th, 2014. My work experience ranges from my internships with Detroit City FC, a minor league soccer team playing in the NPSL, and the Detroit Lions. After my intial positions with Detroit city FC and the Detroit Lions, I received promotions from my managers to join them in a larger role in the organization. With Detroit City FC, I was promoted from Operational and Sales Intern to Volunteer Coordinator, where I continued my original duties as an intern while taking on the duties of coordinating all game day volunteers. With the Detroit Lions, I began as a Marketing Intern, and was shortly after promoted to a Game Day Promotional Team Member. I was also the President of the Mens Club Soccer team at Grand Valley State University for 3 years, starting as a sophomore. I am a very goal driven person, who is motivated by my passion for the sports industry, and my desire to be the best at everything that I do.
