The establishment and management of the built environment have my special interest. Creative solutions in this area will be necessary so humanity does not overload its social, ecological and economic systems. My particular priority is the ecological impact of the built environment. I am convinced that humanity does not have to pollute the earth. I call it 'beyond zero'. It means going beyond only reducing the impact of existing industrial processes, but develop processes that actually improve the earth’s condition and life upon it. I will spend the rest of my life implementing this vision in industrial processes in the hope of an added value for our world.
