Bachelor of Science, apparel design and production
From a young age I have been drawing, designing, sewing, and surrounded by art of many forms. My mom wanted her children to be enveloped in music and art, especially as we grew up in two small towns.
Today, my blog is my inspiration log of style and design in fashion and home. It will become the realization of my goals in designing and styling, and surrounded in contemporary interior style.
During high school, I studied classical music with plans of becoming a soprano opera singer. The first two years of college were immersed as a music major. As a member of the CSU Chamber Choir, my musicianship thrived under the direction of Dr. Kim. The group traveled to Italy for a short tour of concerts in the northeastern area around Florence. However, after career soul-searching, I discovered I would be better fit for my true passion of fashion.
While in school my designs showed in several FGI and local business sponsored student shows. My last semester on campus, I received first in an FGI sponsored student competition for a formal wear design. An interior and apparel design group I participated in received second in the International Interior Design Association (IIDA Northern Colorado chapter) for our student design, "Hooded Warrior". Currently I am working for a Colorado-based women's sportswear company as the design assistant.
Outside of fashion and interior design, my interests are reading great fiction, baking (primarily with chocolate), watching indie movies, dancing, attempting to learn French, and spending time in Denver.
