Lara Frayre
Philippines
Hi, I’m Lara. I’m a freelance graphic, web and eLearning designer. I have been in the creative industry for three years now, and I combine my love for art, children and the environment through teaching and reaching out to communities in the provinces. My goal is to contribute to indigenous learning institutions so that we maintain our cultural identity.
I don’t know how I’ve come to love our country and our tribes. I guess it’s one of those things that you wake up one day realizing you’ve loved all along. My approach to traveling is immersing with the local culture. I go where the locals go, eat where the locals eat, sleep where the locals sleep. And so far, traveling this way has been the best decision I’ve ever made in my life.
I consume books on a regular basis, and my favorite titles are usually written by living creative pioneers and ancient visionaries like Darwin, Antonio de Morga, and other brave explorers.
On my free time, I write about adventures in the rural Philippines. You can find my stories at Geotropic.
