Lara Bazelon
Law Professor in San Francisco
As a young girl, Lara Bazelon played on the tennis team at Germantown Friends School, a high-quality Quaker school that instilled a strong work ethic and a deep commitment to social justice. She then attended Columbia University, graduating cum laude in 1992, and earned a J.D. from NYU School of Law, where she also graduated cum laude. While here, she was the editor of the NYU Law Review. Immediately upon graduation, she worked as a law clerk to the late Hon. Harry Pregerson, a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
