I am design researcher and educator with a (rather) interdisciplinary background in digital culture.
I am a Lecturer in the Design School at London College of Communication, teaching on the MA Service Experience Design and Innovation course. [Follow us @MASEDILCC]
My undergraduate and postgraduate studies were in Art and Technology, specialising in web-based art and creative uses of locative media.
I completed my AHRC-funded practice-led PhD at Lancaster University, where I examined the production of hybrid physical-digital social spaces through the design of new products, experiences and services, in collaborative action research projects with pioneering companies, local authorities and academic thinkers.
Later, I undertook postdoctoral research in Service Design at the Public Collaboration Lab, based at Central Saint Martins (UAL), where we investigated the potential ofcollaborative design practicebetween design higher education and local authorities tosupport innovation.
I enjoy (really do!) practice-led research and education, working in multidisciplinary and collaborative projects, facilitating knowledge exchange, and contributing to generate novel ideas.
