Lara Seckleman

I am currently in the final year of a BA (HONS) Contemporary Art Practices at Leeds Metropolitan University

I produce artwork heavily influenced by Optical Art, Psychadelia and Geometric Design. The works have a futuristic feel due to a cold metalic colour pallete, abstraction, shifting dimensional planes, and tricks within perspective. My aim is to play with the concept of perception, and to alter how people interpret visualisations of what may be unknkown to us.

Areas of practice include drawing, painting, printmaking and immersive environmental installations

My personal influences lay heavily in science fiction, electronic music and what the future holds for us.
