Katherine Glen Known as LA REINA DEL MARIACHI ® for her powerful voice and excellent performances that leave audiences impressed and overjoyed with her traditional yet modern edgy singing voice. She has performed with legendary Mariachi groups such as Mariachi Vargas, and has shared the stage with famous artists such as Juan Gabriel, Pablo Montero, Alicia Villareal and many more popular talents.Following local contests in 12 cities across the United States, six candidates between the ages of 16 and 23 were selected to participate in the talent competition "Festival Mariachi desde Disney". This two-hour special premiering on the UNIVISION chain on Sunday November 30 at 7 pm ET / PT (6 pm Central / Mountain), and will include musical performances by famous bands Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan, Mariachi Los Camperos de Nati Cano, Mariachi Cobre, plus a special appearance by Ana Bárbara.Katherine Glen was the winner from NYC, and amongst the six finalists who traveled to Disney World park in Orlando, Florida, which were prepared under the direction of Steve Carillo, member of Mariachi Cobre, which has been the flagship of EPCOT mariachi group for the past 21 years. Judged by the quality of their voices, rhythm, intonation and his knowledge of the history of mariachi music, contestants competed for a prize of ten thousand dollars. During their performances to the jury mostly made up of leading singers of the genre, applicants were accompanied by Mariachi Fiesta Grande, one of the bands used by the legendary Juan Gabriel in their presentations in the USShe has made special appearances on the Univision and Telemundo networks. La Reina Del Mariachi Katherine Glen has also performed in Madison Square Garden New York City in front of a crowd of more than 50,000 fans, Concert hall home to many celebrities including, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Elton John, and much more!
