Zdrasvata! Hello!

I am a current Peace Corps volunteer living and working in the Kyrgyz Republic! I am a Health Education volunteer but , as I am still in pre-service training, I do not know what my assignment will be yet. For now I will be learning Russian and all about how to be the best, most safe, most culturally-aware Peace Corps volunteer ever. I will update this as soon as I know! my assignment!

Before I realized my dream by joining the Peace Corps I finished a Master's of Public Health degree in Maternal and Child Health through the George Washington University and Emory University. I had an amazing undergraduate experience studying Biology at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia, my home, and spent as much time as I could learning and helping in other parts of the world. I have some great prjects/organizations which do amazing work, like Casas de las Esperanza in La Prusia, Nicaragua, and Quetzaltrekkers Guatemala. My good and difficult experiences with these organizations, as well as my other volunteer work, influenced me to want to be part of something longer-lasting, strongly supported, and structured with integrity - all of which is represented by the U.S. Peace Corps.

I am so happy to commit myself to my Peace Corps assignment and other projects - hopefully benefitting and impacting my community here and creating long-lasting change for the better!

Feel free to contact me or read my blog - thanks for your support!
