I am passionate about publishing. Specifically, the creative relationship between editorial and design and the magic that creates. Since my first exposure to newspapers at the University of Southern Maine Free Press during college, I was hooked. After visiting Garbage Magazine for an informational interview during my Junior year I knew magazines were where I wanted to be. There was something about the great creative synergy of pairing a visionary editor and talented designer that excites and delights me to this moment. It took me a few years of agency work before I found my in to the industry in 2000, and I have been joyously creating amazing editorial content ever since. I started with Pokey Bolton at Quilting Arts Magazine in 2000 and I went on to launch magazine after magazine in the craft special interest category with Pokey: Quilting Arts Gifts, Quilt Scene, Cloth Paper Scissors, Studios, Pages, Modern Patchwork, Artists & Makers, Downton Abbey Sews, Stitch Modern Holidays, In Stitches interactive eMagazine, and Art Journaling Exposed digital eMag to name few. I have worked with talented photographers Rick Hornick and Sandy Rivlin, propping and styling all our beautiful photography, and most recently directed and designed a look book for Robert Kaufman fabrics.
