Lauren Keddington

Decatur, GA

Hello! My name is Lauren Keddington and I am a student in the Computer Information Systems program at Georgia State University. I grew up in Decatur, Georgia, and all my life I've had a passion for working with computers.

Over time, I've become familiar with various physical builds, different operating systems, and a variety of software suites. Before I started pursuing my degree, I didn't realize just how much more there was to learn when it came to applying computers to a business environment, between networking and database management; I've enjoyed every bit of it, though, and am really excited for any opportunity to apply my ever-growing skills.

I have personal experience providing technical support, helping relatives, friends, and peers with their various concerns. I have aided people in transitions between operating systems or devices, assisted in fixing gaming servers, and introduced others to faster, easier ways to use their technology resources effectively. Specifically, I've worked most closely with Windows (up to 8) and Apple software (up to OS X Mavericks), defaulting primarily to Windows software suites and setups. In my line of work I've become familiar with a Citrix environment, using a VMS plugin to process member data and payments, and I'm always exploring and tinkering with new programs.

On the customer service side of things, I have spent the past five years being the face of businesses, the first person you meet when you come in. In that time, I've honed friendly, enthusiastic customer service skills, and have held to my word that every customer is just as important as the last. I maintain a bright voice and warm personality, and do as much as I can to ameliorate any issues that a patron may have.

In my spare time, I'm hosting a gaming server, building a desktop, and doing brain surgery on my Macbook.
