Larry Hart
I am a conservative writer. Interested in getting my people, the Jewish people out of the mindset that they must always vote demorcatic and think liberal. The political left might have been our salvation 100 years ago, but the world has changed. Our place is on the right, where we can practice our religion without ridicule, where we have strong support for the State of Israel and where anti-semitism is not tolerated under any circumstances. All three of those elements are not so easy in the left wing world and they are getting harder as time goes on.
My education is state university in california, undergraduate and graduate work in history with emphasis on Middle East, Arab Israeli conflict, Islam and its clash with the rest of the world.
I love to read, and I divided it up into what I call the 80-20 factor. 80% of my reading is in history, 20% in everything else, baseball, architecture, Music, dogs and fiction, etc.
80% of my history reading is on the Middle East. the other 20% is on other histories, mostly American but also Roman, Greek, and European history in the last 2000 years.
80% of Middle East reading is on the Jewish history going back to ancient times, 20% is on Islam, the ottoman empire, Mohammad's life and times etc.
80% of my Jewish history reading is on modern Israel, the Zionist movement, from the forerunners to yesterday, and everything inbetween. 20% is dedicated to Jews in the modern world, especially the last seven to eight hundred years in Europe.
80% of my Zionist reading is pretty much on the years 1945-to 1955. I consider my self an expert on that time period in Israeli history. 20% includes all aspects of what has brought us as a people to this point in history.
I like music, rock and roll, and I love its roots, the Blues especially. There's nothing like trying to hit the note that isn't there.
i worked first in construction but then the last six years I am in property management. I am the best damned finish carpenter you've ever seen. I still keep my hands and eyes sharp for any woodworking project that might come along.
So, please just tell people you know to visit me on my twitter page and to come to my blog at www.hartnation.com and read some of my pieces. It is interesting stuff and if you have an interest in the same things I described above you might find something new to learn there. At least, i hope you do.
