Larry Ruhlman

Larry Ruhlman is a participant in Chrysler’s executive leadership develop program. In this capacity he has had the opportunity to learn first hand from the company’s executives what it takes to run a major, multinational organization. His day to day activities includes interfacing with executive management across all operating units of Chrysler and identifing inefficiencies in existing operating practices. He also makes recommendations to senior leadership around process and manpower improvements that can lead to higher overall efficiency and profitability.
Before Chrysler, Larry managed Gallup’s Global Workplace Strategies Practice. In this role, he oversaw the direction of the marketing, research and development, technology, and operational efforts to meet the needs of Gallup clients. Larry coordinated with clients and Gallup teams to ensure optimal outcomes for employee selection, development, enagement and well-being. He worked with Gallup consultants, researchers, and operations teams to ensure Gallup remained the leader in helping clients achieve high performance through their people. His consulting insights supported clients in developing strategies that optimize their workforce to help organizations win in the marketplace.
Prior to taking on the Practice leadership role, Larry served as a Business and Management Consultant. In that role, he worked with client and internal Gallup teams to coordinate and successfully execute employee and customer engagements using Gallup’s Employee, Customer and Wellbeing measurements. Once results were published he used intimate knowledge of the client’s business to analyze the results in a way that was targeted at answering a client’s questions and business concerns. Through the insights that were provided, it was his mission to help organizations maximize the engagement of both their employees and customers, leading towards higher productivity, performance and customer loyalty.
Larry started his life at Gallup as a Partner out of the Detroit Office. Prior to joining Gallup he was a student at Michigan State University where he earned his degree in Psychology, with a focus in Industrial/Organizational and has since earned his MBA from the University of Scranton, specializing in Operations Management. During his college years, Larry also served as a Reservist in the United States Air Force. Larry currently resides in the Metro Detroit area with his wife and two sons.
