Larry Benz

Dr. Laurence “Larry” Benz, DPT, OCS, MBA, FAPTA is the Founder of Confluent Health, a musculoskeletal platform company with holdings in physical therapy, occupational health, education, and digital health. He is nationally recognized for his expertise in private practice physical therapy. He writes a newsletter, All Things PhysicalTherapy

Dr. Benz's current interests include conducting research around a care pathway that puts physical therapy first and integrating empathy, compassion, and positive psychology interventions within physical therapy care. With over 200 invited presentations to PT programs, national conferences, and MBA programs throughout the country, Dr. Benz has been on APTA's Advisory Panel on Practice and The Board of the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties and is currently a Trustee with The University of Louisville and with the health system UL Health.

He is the recipient of numerous business and physical therapy awards including the Kentuckiana Business Hall of Fame, Catherine Worthingham Fellows, Dicus Award, and Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the year for his region.
