R.E.A.P. ( Redeemed Enrichment Academic Place) is a non for profit organization. The founder of R.E.A.P. Larry D. Mannings Sr. is also a combat Veteran and realize what the traumas of war can bring about; therefore he is sensitive and has compassion for our Veterans that served in the military. Mr. Mannings feels that anyone that is a part of R.E.A.P must first have a compassion and sensitivity for the needs our combat Veterans.Our vision is to reduce the high homeless rate and recidivism among our Veterans.The purpose of the R.E.A.P.( Redeemed Enrichment Academic Place) is first and foremost is to transform the lives of Homeless Veterans and Veterans who have been incarcerated and now being released into the general public and re-train, re-educate them as they re-enter the work place.We at R.E.A.P. recognize that success of Veteran ex-offenders and homeless Veterans re-integration is a multifaceted process. Thus through a case management style approaches the following training and mentoring will be provided: Godly biblical Christ center studies are the foundation of our programs, teaching and training them marketable skills i.e. computer repair and technology, television production, life skills, public speaking, job interview training, PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, family counseling, physical health and fitness etc.More importantly how to apply their skills to find and maintain a job as they re-enter the work place and re-entry to the general population.The program also focuses on how the families of Veteran ex-offenders/Homeless Veterans are affected, as the Vets seek job opportunities and become contributing members of society. R.E.A.P.( Redeemed Enrichment Academic Place) will Provided temporary housing, set up support networks between former correctional facilities, family, community faith based organization. This will help them make a more successful transition.
