Larry Scheinfeld is the Co-Founder and Partner of Zelkova Ventures, a Venture Capital firm based in New York City. Scheinfeld is a motivated businessman and entrepreneur who focuses on customer acquisition development and strategic funding solutions. He has additional experience working with financial advising, a diverse number of portfolio companies, and specialty and hybrid offerings.
Zelkova Ventures invests in early stage technology startup companies, offering base level support and partnership opportunities. Zelkova is committed to developing pre-revenue companies, helping young entrepreneurs succeed in an increasingly competitive environment. As of 2012, Zelkova had raised over $175 million dollars from 37 portfolio companies - a majority of investments directed towards New York City-based startups. Fab and Klout, two of Zelkova’s most prominent investments valued over a hundred million dollars each in 2012. Larry Scheinfeld concentrates his efforts on some of Zelkova’s current portfolio companies such as: Crimson Hexagon, LiveFyre, RelTel Technologies, GreenGoose, and Lettuce.
Before Zelkova Ventures, Larry served as a Financial Advisor for the Quellos Group, LLC, an investment management, financial advisory, and brokerage utility company. Larry later developed the Quellos New York office, serving on its Board of Directors until 2007, when the company was sold to Blackrock.
Larry Scheinfeld currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Starlight Foundation and the Forman School for Dyslexia, ADHD and Learning Disabilities. Larry is also an active philanthropist, giving generous contributions to nonprofit organizations such as The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia and Parkinson Foundation, the Eagle Hill School, and Cornell University.
