Larry Miller
Larry Miller is Managing Director of Miller & Company, a media consultancy based in New York. Miller & Company works with media companies and financial sponsors on capital formation and growth strategy, digital product/service development, acquisition and restructuring. Previously, Larry was Vice President/Partner of L.E.K. Consulting and a senior member of the firm’s media and entertainment practice, with a focus on M&A; and business strategy in recorded music and music publishing, broadcasting and web services. Prior to his return to consulting, Mr. Miller was founder and CEO of Or Music, a Grammy Award winning independent recorded music label and music publisher where he signed and recorded multi-platinum artists Los Lonely Boys and Matisyahu. Or Music was acquired by SonyBMG in 2006 after proving a unique joint venture business model between the independently funded company and SonyBMG. Previously he was President of Reciprocal Entertainment, a leading provider of digital rights management services acquired by Microsoft in 2001. Prior to 2001, Mr. Miller was Vice President of Market Development of AT&T; Labs Research where he was cofounder and COO of AT&T; a2b music. He was Managing Partner of AT&T; Solutions Consulting in New York and managed consulting engagements at EDS Management Consulting and A.T. Kearney. Miller began his career in broadcasting, where he held general management positions at Tribune Broadcasting where he managed WQCD-FM/CD101.9, and at NBC Radio Entertainment. Miller was the first production manager of WHTZ/Z100 New York, regarded as the most successful startup in U.S. radio history as the station went from “worst to first” within 72 days of signing-on in the country’s most competitive radio market.
