Larry Starr Longboat Key
Florida resident Larry Starr works in the real estate and vacation rental businesses, focusing on the developing markets located in the southwest region of his state. In the 1980s, Larry Starr became the owner of Longboat Accommodations, a vacation rental and real estate business. Over the course of Larry Starr’s control of Longboat Accommodations, the company expanded to 400 properties, offering its services to thousands of customers. After a decade, Larry Starr had nurtured his business to the point where he was ready to increase the scope of Longboat Accommodations’ operations. In 1991, Larry Starr decided to change the name of his company to Florida Vacation Accommodations in order to reflect the business’s holdings that ranged from Anna Maria Island to Marco Island. Larry Starr’s company also held properties in Sarasota, Siesta Key, Fort Myers Beach, Naples, and Casey Key, with a company that numbered more than 150 employees. A decade after this transition, Larry Starr’s company became ResortQuest Southwest Florida, an affiliate of the greater ResortQuest International business operations. As of 2009, Larry Starr has worked as President of Resort Vacation Accommodations, successfully leading the company to dominate the market of vacation rentals. In addition to his time in the vacation rental field, Larry Starr lends his talents to the real estate market. Larry Starr has taken part in the development and sale of over 200 condominium units, earning upwards of $75 million for properties in communities such as Siesta Key Beach Club, Cabana Beach Club on Longboat Key, and Beach Club Anna Maria on Bradenton Beach. As for his current business interests, Larry Starr began to apply his real estate talents as a managing member of Realty One Alliance in 2008.
