Larry Wittig

A longtime resident of Tamaqua, Pennsylvania, Larry Wittig is an environmental advocate who serves as the president of Environment Awareness Corp., Inc., and Tamaqua Transfer & Recycling Inc. Under the guidance of Larry Wittig, the two companies provide solid waste- and recycling-collection services, as well as dumpster-container rentals to businesses and municipalities throughout Northeast Pennsylvania.

In addition leading the two firms, Larry Wittig is a Certified Public Accountant leading as the senior partner at WITTIG CPA'S and has some four decades of experience in accounting. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and has a master of business administration with a concentration in accounting from Drexel University.

Wittig is also passionate about education. To that end, he has held both membership and executive roles with the Tamaqua Area School District Board, the Pennsylvania State Board of Education, the Governor's Advisory Commission on Academic Standards, and the board of trustees for Thomas Jefferson University, then called Philadelphia University. A member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, he enjoys flying in his free time.
