A prominent figure in the home medical supply industry, Larson Douglas Hudson has been serving as Chairman and CEO of Simplex Healthcare, Inc. since 2007. A leader in industry standards and service, Simplex Healthcare delivers the latest models of diabetic testing supplies to thousands of patients across the country, helping them manage their healthcare needs, and fulfilling an important role in home health care. After Larson Douglas Hudson’s careful three-year stewardship, the award-winning company has grown from serving 20,000 diabetic patients to serving over 230,000 patients, in large part due to its popular mail order service. Larson Douglas Hudson earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Design from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida, before studying finance and accounting at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University. After receiving his Masters in Business Administration in 1994, Larson Douglas Hudson worked as a Vice President at J.C. Bradford & Company, an investment banking firm in Nashville, Tennessee. Throughout his career, Larson Douglas Hudson has demonstrated a remarkable capacity for leadership and entrepreneurial innovation. In 1999, Larson Douglas Hudson founded HearingPlanet, where he served as Chairman and CEO for eight years, building the business up from a small start-up company to one of the largest hearing aid distributors in the United States. Recognized by numerous business and industry journals, Larson Douglas Hudson was a finalist for the Ernst and Young 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year Award and in 2010, Simplex Healthcare was a finalist for Nashville Business Journal’s “Best in Business” award. When he is not at the office, Larson Douglas Hudson enjoys spending time with his daughters, family, and close friends in addition to going to the beach, and working towards earning his private pilot’s license.
