Do big voices need big bodies to hold them? Of course not! LaShella Nicole is dainty in figure but possess vocals abounding in rich and heavy melodies. Ironically, she is known to be soft-spoken and shy but these particular characteristics do not hinder her from boldly accepting her calling to minister through music.

“LaShella Nicole” Titus was born on December 8, 1990 in Dallas, TX. Her first opportunity to sing solo was at the age of seven in a Christmas program at the elementary school where she attended. At the age of eleven, LaShella voluntarily received her salvation, and it was through her burning desire to gain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that she understood the purpose of the power that existed within her voice.

In 2006, while visiting a church service with a friend, she was introduced to a local producer who agreed to work with her after an unexpected audition. As a result, she was able to record in a studio for the first time. Shortly afterwards, she was able to experience singing occasionally at churches and high school events.

In the same year, there was a battle for her concerning her identity. LaShella struggled with thoughts of homosexuality, which she refers to as a period of “mental torment”. During this time, she became demotivated and hindered in her walk with Christ. She explains how one day, while praying and crying out for deliverance, she was specifically instructed to make a habit of singing to herself every day to receive her deliverance. Unashamed, this young artist firmly believes that she will be used to share this gift with others for the glory of God, especially those who yearn for the same deliverance.

Back on the move, writing inspirational lyrics became a part of her everyday routine, and with excitement, LaShella shared them with people that she encountered. She teamed with “Gospel Floes” in 2012, which is an organization that promotes artists and businesses. During a tour that the team promoted called “The Move Tour”, she had the privilege of escorting the artists to their interviews. She met hip hop generals Da’ T.R.U.T.H. and the Ambassador, Christian rapper Sean Simmons, Urban Pop artists B. Reith and Jai, and BET’S “Sunday Best” Jessica Reedy which whom she had a personal encounter. LaShella explains that about two weeks before meeting her, she had a visi
