László Gulyás is regional lead of EIT Digital's ARISE Europe program in Central and Eastern Europe. His professional history for 15 years has been divided between higher education, research and ICT business practice, in about equal parts, with a mission to bring cutting edge scientific results to the market and vice versa, to let practical needs of ICT companies be known in higher education. After receiving his PhD from Loránd Eötvös University, Budapest, he worked at the same institution, at Harvard University and at the Central European University. He also held management positions at various startup and SME companies. Dr. Gulyás has authored 70+ articles and participated in and co-managed 7 successful European projects (from FP6 to H2020) and 11 Hungarian R&D grants.
