LaTanya Casillas

Born in Chicago, raised in Detroit.
Known for her competitive yet easy-going spirit, LaTanya believes in developing genuine relationships with people and pushing them to go for what they want.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Howard University and continued her education at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. After receiving her Master of Arts degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, shortly thereafter she moved to Miami, Florida and has been working and living there ever since.
LaTanya is passionate about community service. She is the Board Chairperson for the Greater Miami Service Corp Board of Directors. LaTanya works on various committees for the Miami Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc, including Delta Academy, which is dedicated to empowering the lives of young girls in the greater Miami area. She was recently selected to serve as a Regional Participant for the National Urban Fellows’ Public Service Leadership Diversity Network, whose main goal is to inspire excellence and diversity in public service leadership.
In her spare time, LaTanya enjoys traveling, attending concerts, and crafting. The quote she stands by in life is “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
