Hello and Welcome to my page!
If you are on my page I am assuming you found me through my WordPress blog stand in Christ. Stand (Striving towards a new destiny) in Christ is a weekly online magazine, that currently serves as my blog until I figure out how to start an online magazine, dedicated to presenting Jesus Christ in a relatable, yet accurate manner. Not because I am perfect, holy, without sin or make all the right choices in life because I don't and am not. My previous statement is my number one reason for starting STAND IN CHRIST magazine/blog.

My intent is to reach others and let them know that being a follower of Christ does not mean walking on a heavenly cloud so high that you are oblivious to real life. I mess up, I get hurt and cry, some days I don't do what I should, and I have struggles, temptations and a nature that pulls me toward a reckless lifestyle.

I had to learn that having a relationship with Jesus Christ does not equal perfection. It equals being perfected THROUGH HIM and the work he has already completed by dying for my sins. It means knowing I was born with a sinful nature but accepting the gift of salvation and allowing my mind to be transformed. Loving my God, accepting his love in return, loving my neighbors, striving to do right when I want to do wrong.

it is a conscious decision that I will not be subject to the many pleasures of life that are set before me. I have been there done that, got the t-shirt, hat, umbrella and most importantly the emotional scars to prove it. It profited me nothing and each time I go down that rode I come stumbling back in a worse state than I was before.

But when I rest in Jesus and his love, all the cares and burdens ease from off my shoulder causing me to walk upright with a peace that surpasses anything you could ever imagine. The late Walter Hawkins wrote a song called “What is this"... “What is this, that I feel deep inside, and it keeps setting my soul on fire…. Whatever it is, whatever it is, whatever it, it won't let me hold my peace".

That song describes exactly how I feel! I can't even explain what I feel and how good I feel inside. It is something you will have to experience yourself to truly get an understanding. With that said, I hope you follow me on my journey through this life to an even greater one. I will be keeping it 100% real, sharing my life, struggles, triumphs and passion of Christ.
