Latonia Jordan is a native Houstonian, where she attended Jack Yates High School.

She is currently self employed as a Professional Hair Designer (PHD) which has allowed her the opportunity to come in contact with many people. She has also mentored hundreds of young people by helping them build self esteem and to find their place in society. Mrs. Jordan is a proud alumnus of Ashford University, where she received a Bachelor in Arts majoring in Psychology. She continued her quest for learning by continuing her studies through Walden University where she received her Masters in Applied Psychology. As she continues her education, she will soon receive a Doctor of Philosophy specializing (Clinical Psychology). She majors in psychology as a means of understanding behavior and promoting health, education, human welfare, and social change.

Jordan was an active mom – volunteering at her children schools and with their Little League teams. For many years she served on the School Board of Directors as the Treasurer. She facilitated fund raisers to help raise money for the school which help by uniforms, transportation, and the upkeep. Now, with both of her children graduated from high school, Latonia Jordan will endeavor to move our community forward by working with teens. She believes her most outstanding accomplishment is her ability to motivate and encourage students, workers, and the community to be the best they can be.

Mrs. Jordan is currently a member of American Psychologist Association, Texas Association of School Psychologist (TASP) and Society for Personality Assessment (SAP). She is also a member of Psi Chi, The International Honor Society in Psychology.
