Latrice Tynes

Recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a B.S in Food Science.

This summer I have had the opportunity to gain a host of research experience, as I have participated in the assistance of two labortories within the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. I have gained a great deal of knowledge from my involvement withinthe fields of study including Human Nutrition and Sensory Science.

Food safety is something that I am very passionate about. I seek to pursue a Masters degree for Public Health after a year break to gain employment experience.

A few of my long term goals include working as a health and wellness educator, focusing on healthy lifestyles and knowledge of human development in relation to food. I am also interested in starting a non-profit organization that educate families on proper nutrition as well as providing food resources to those in need.
