Laura Daniels

Hey, everyone! My name is Laura, and I am a music educator, performer, and music therapist (soon-to-be-board certified, fingers crossed!). I have taught horn masterclasses, lessons, and brass ensembles in North Texas, North Florida, and hopefully the Austin area of Texas soon. I have performed with prestigious ensembles, ranging from college symphony orchestras, to civic orchestras, and city orchestras. I have recently graduated from the Florida State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music, specifically, in Music Therapy. However, my journey to music therapy consisted of not only music therapy curriculum, but several music education and music performance courses & experiences. I and am looking forward to a career in the music industry, whether it might be performing, teaching, or providing music therapy. Currently, I am teaching private music lessons in the north Dallas area of Texas. In my opinion, if a day doesn't go well, that just makes the next day feel that much better. Why be negative about the world when you can be positive - and with that, happier in it? When growing up, why try to solve every problem in front of you, instead of looking forward 10-15 years down the line? There are lots of "big girl" decisions that have been made for me in past years, and I have had to learn to step up to the plate recently. It's pretty scary, but when its successful, you feel like you can take on the world. What makes it even better: to know that you're truely, sincerely, & honestly happy. I enjoy running, workout classes, shopping (of course), seeing old and current friends, making new friends, traveling to new places, watching football, dancing, attending a Broadway performance, and most of all: hiking the mountains of Banff, Alberta (Canada)!
