I enjoy wearing many hats in nonfiction storytelling. I am an associate producer for PBS NewsHour Weekend in New York City.
You can also check out my work as a researcher/ archivist / fact-checker for Morgan Spurlock's documentary series Inside Man --- the first two seasons are on Netflix, and the third season recently aired on CNN.
I've been an avid supporter of independent film and Asian American/multiracial communities. While in Eugene, Oregon, I served on a community-run film festival board and an Asian American student group, where I publicized events, reaching out to other groups, producing/distributing film festival programs, posters and literary zines.
I'm passionate about closing the education achievement gap. I worked for two years as a first grade teacher in Houston, Texas as a Teach for America corps member. As an alumnus, I am focused on raising awareness of issues in education and social inequality through my journalism career.
I graduated with a B.A. in Journalism ( Electronic Media) from the University of Oregon Journalism School of Communication in 2010.
