Laura Cervantes

Dr. Laura Cervantes earned a Doctorate in Education from the University of California Los Angeles and obtained Master and Bachelor degrees in Social Psychology.

Dr. Cervantes has over a decade of experience developing and leading the implementation and management of international, national, and local level research studies in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. She is a seasoned research consultant with a portfolio of projects for K-12 schools, higher education institutions, philanthropic organizations, community based and non-profit organizations, law enforcement and government agencies nationwide, and fortune 500 companies.

Her areas of support include research and policy analysis, professional development in data literacy, implicit bias, institutional racism, and cultural competency, landscape analysis, quantitative and qualitative instrument development and data analysis, and program evaluation.

Her work centers on dismantling harmful environments, practices, and policies that amplify the achievement/ opportunity gap and disparities for marginalized communities. Her passion and work is grounded in creating equitable and inclusive spaces and practices through an anti-racism lens.
