My name is Laura. I just passed 51 years old - YES I said 51. I am not afraid of my age, I don't lie about it. I believe every single thing that happens to us, good or bad, is for a reason and part of our journey. We often don't understand the negative things that come our way, but if we can try, hard as it might be, to take it in stride and learn from it, that truly serves our best purpose.
Everyone one of us has a story and lessons we can teach others. No one persons journey is any less important than anyone else's - each has is it's own personal story and purpose.
Recently I was asked to participate in a one year blo. Topics are selected each week, photos are posted and thoughts are shared about what that particular topic means to me. (us) This was no accident and most things are not, and it fits perfectly into where I am currently on my own personal life journey. I decided to use it as as opportunity to have any others that care to follow, share, learn or just enjoy the journey.
I have married a wonderful man and we have a number of children and grandchildren between us. Our kids are in a varitey of stages of their journeys, some more advanced then others, but all of us having our own personal struggles to "figure it out". From the youngest to the oldest, all in various places in their journeys. We have conversations with each of them for help, guidance, advise, and sometimes just to talk. My mother was the matriarch of our family - she was our rock and our wise councelor any time day or night. Without realizing it - we are transforming into the roll of guidance councelor. There is a responsibility yet to fullfil in this part of the journey and trying to keep balance in the giving and receiving.
I hope others will enjoy and feel free to share in my blog journey. Here's to Life in Lime Green
