I'd like to think of myself as unique, as someone different than the average Joe crossing the street. I'm a coffee and dark chocolate addict. I’ve played the guitar and written songs since third grade, and I recently read a 400 page biography about Walt Disney just for fun. I love sushi (eel sashimi is phenomenal) and film, and I’m terrified of semi-trucks. I am an unofficial expert in Greek mythology, and I am currently working towards becoming fluent in French. One evening in June, I cooked dinner for about thirty single church-sheltered mothers and their children, complete with dessert. I love making people laugh. I strike up conversations with random people in a check out line, and I bake beautiful cakes. I’m a free spirit, and one day, I’m going to choose the Seven Wonders of the World myself. I’d rather curl up in a blanket with a Jodi Picoult novel than go to a party. I'm bold and I take risks, I care too much, and I'm no where close to perfect. I can get impatient, and I'm easily frustrated. I have moments of laziness, and I am the greatest procrastinator in the world. I get lost so much it's embarrassing, even with my patient navigation system constantly trying to have a say in my every decision on the road. I appreciate my imperfections though, because they make me who I am. They set me apart from the average Joe sipping a cappuccino. Because of my imperfections, I am me.
