Laura Guarnaccia

My name is Laura Guarnaccia and I am a junior public relations major media studies minor at Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Connecticut. I am originally from Closter, New Jersey. I am interested in the public relations field because of how fast paced and ever changing it is. I am involved on my campus through my school's PRSSA chapter. I am also a member of Gamma Phi Beta's Eta Pi chapter at Quinnipiac University and am currently the assistant new member educator. I also work in the technology center at my university, assisting students and faculty with their technology needs. I have had internship experiences, some of which include working with plus size super model Emme Aronson on her social media presence, which comprised of her website, Instagram, twitter and her Facebook page. I have also worked at a public relations firm called Krupp Kommunications in New York City. While there I was involved with research for new clients and creating campaign plans. Most recently, I worked at a shoe branding company called Unlimited Shoe Brand Group where I helped with finding clients competitors and figuring out how to make the product better than its competitors for the specific target audience. While there I also helped with finding media outlets that a client could advertise its product to. I am a fan of travel, sports, and innovation, especially in the ever changing industry of public relations. I’m also very interested in volunteering and music.
