At Sedex Laura worked closely with a range of stakeholders including UN bodies, Audit Companies, NGOs, government agencies and trade unions, leading Sedex’s work to support the sharing of insights related to supply chain issues and the promotion of best practice.

Before joining Sedex, Laura managed and developed a supply chain assessment which was utilised by the UK Central Government. Specialising in human rights & labour standards, Laura has also managed a number of working groups and specific research projects for high profile organisations such as the Home Office Equality Board. Her most prominent achievement is the development of an international working conditions assessment and risk management tool, both of which have driven improvements and engagement throughout the supply chains of the UK public sector. To add to her experience, Laura has also undertaken a number of professional development courses in human trafficking, sustainability and global food security. Laura is also studying towards a Masters in Human Rights at the University of Sussex.

Laura is a passionate advocate of labour standards and in her spare time has volunteered to raise awareness around workers rights, managing events across Europe. She has a keen interest in reading around the political economy.
