I am a full-time social media strategist/digital marketer. IMHO, social media is the best thing that has ever happened to marketing. Why? Today resides in the era of a major trust deficit. Distrust in the government, distrust in advertising, distrust in the big corporate man, distrust in each other. Social media has given me, you, businesses/organizations of all shapes and sizes, the opportunity to be content publishers. Relationship marketers. Thought leaders. Influencers. As a marketer, it gives me the opportunity to humanize the brands that I work for. To be genuine. To be honest and transparent. To listen. To talk with my customers in a way that I couldn't before. To provide a place for people to connect with each other. To embrace the people who love my brand and understand the reasons why people don't. It helps me to help the companies I work for enhance the way they do business - in a positive and meaningful way.

::Steps off soap box:: Beyond my day job, I'm also a geek, an apple fangirl, an Atlanta-based blogger, a foodie, a crafter, a traveler, and value-er of old-fashioned things, the great outdoors, different points of view, putting my family & friends above all else, music, the arts, animals, discovery, growing, and taking advantage of all life has to offer. I went to Indiana University (GO HOOSIERS!) were I studied Journalism, went to a lot of basketball games, made lifetime friends and some of the best memories. I've lived in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Bloomington, and London. I have two cats - Leai and Sushi and an unhealthy fear of styrofoam. I love what I do. How can I help?
