Laura Janisse
My name is Laura Janisse. I live in the bay area and work as a Design Lead in Kaiser Permanente’s Innovation Consultancy. I also lead the Innovation and Technology peer group for GenKP - an internal business resource group that helps the organization attract, engage and retain early professionals.
My background is anchored in media design and design thinking. I love thinking about people and systems, especially within the healthcare context. My work aims to encourage new ways of thinking about, addressing, and designing for the challenges that exist within healthcare.
Prior to Kaiser, I worked at IDEO as a design researcher. I used various mediums to create project-specific methodologies and tools to allow teams to deeply connect with the contexts and users we designed for.
Outside of work you'll find me playing the piano or singing along to bluegrass music.
