Hi there!

So you've come to visit, great! Let me tell you a bit about myself.

I'm a thirty-something-year-old geek girl who has built a career in content management and information technology.

I studied English at the University of Tampere and specialized in technical communication. I had several minors because that was possible but the most important one was hypermedia - that's what the subject was known at the time. In other words, web design, textual and visual communication, web app design, 3D animation design, and so on.

The first part of my career started at Nokia and ends at Microsoft. I've climbed every step of the corporate ladder: summer trainee, trainee, graduate trainee, technical writer, information designer, development specialist, and finally, solutions manager. I didn't manage a team - that's not for me - but managed a company-wide DITA component content management system from concepting and ramp-up to ramp-down.

After my team was released to the job market by Microsoft, I became an independent DITA consultant. I have been working in that role ever since, but I have also set up a company called Adina Solutions Ltd with three of my former colleagues. We provide technical writing and consultancy services with an end-to-end approach. Adina is a one-stop shop that provides a solution all your communication and strategy needs!
