My name is Laura Martin. I'm just an ordinary girl who wants to live a full and adventurous life and a make a positive impact on the people I meet along the way. This blog is my journey. We Came Here To Live is the title and that's what its all about.. Life. Basically I post about things I do, thoughts and ideas I have and people I meet along the way. I share about things that matter to me and some of the random thoughts I have! Life is a journey. We are here to live and learn and love. My greatest passions are travel and adventure. I want to try everything at least once and always be learning new things. Albert Einstein said it best, "I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious." I am never bored because there is always something new to try or learn or explore. Life is full of magical adventures just waiting to be discovered! My husband Jesse is my biggest supporter and I am thankful for him every day. He is busy man too changing the lives of the people who come into his gym Crossfit Anacortes. In 2014 I am planning a trip to Africa. I am currently looking for charities to work with while I am there. I will be there for approximately 6 months and I hope to visit and work alongside at least 6 charity groups while I am there. I will be blogging about my experiences while I am in Africa as well as blogging about planning and my adventures leading up to the trip. I still don't know how all of it will come together financially but I feel the calling so here I go! I am also working on starting up a sandal company with a friend of mine. The goal is for the sandals to help fund our goal to be able to support small charity groups across the globe. We are still in the very early stages but watch us as we grow at unavitasandals.com. Before I leave I will be stand up paddling 50 miles around Anacortes, WA and partnering with Crossfit Anacortes to help raise funds for my trip to Africa and to support some of the charities I will be working with.
