Laura Lowery Boston University Faculty Member is a Scientist, Motivational Speaker and the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the Section of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Boston Medical Center. Lowery proudly represents the Anti-Racism Committee within Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine (BU).

Laura Lowery is an academic professional in Biomedical Studies. Throughout her career, she has contributed to various studies on Cell Migration, Cytoskeletal Dynamics, Cell Motility, Axon Guidance and Embryonic Development. Blending science with creativity, Lowery launched her science-based art project, Art by Academics (and Friends). The project is focused on inspiring scholars to embrace their artistic side. Lowery creates watercolor paintings and encourages others to do the same as a form of expression and relaxation.
