I really think its hurt by being released close to Civil War, so with that being said this movie doesnt even come close to it. However there are lots of positives about the movie, good action, pretty good story. Introductions to a handful of X-Men who have been needing a refresh/a silver screen debut for a while. The biggest down fall is how terrible the villain is. Apocalypse is supposed to be as powerful as Thanos. Yet having him just regular size completely ruined how imposing he is supposed to be. He really should have been CGI. However the movie is also saved by a lot of the things it sets up and teases.
