Laura O' Shea

Laura O' Shea was born and raised in Limerick City, Ireland. Her passion for performing and the arts started at a very young age and Laura spent her teenage years playing guitar and singing in various bands in the south-west of Ireland. She studied Music Technology for 5 years and graduated with her Masters degree in 2014 at the young age of 22. Since then, Laura has been focusing all her time and energy into acting. Laura has starred in two Irish award nominated short films in the last two years, one of which earned her a nomination for 'Best Acting' for her strong leading role in an emotional piece titled 'Loss'. Laura has just been selected from many to study at Bow Street Academy for Screen Acting. 'The Programme for Screen Acting' is the only full time course in the country dedicated solely to screen acting. Here, she will work and learn alongside some of the best coaches and mentors Ireland has to offer; including renowned casting director Maureen Hughes (Butcher Boy, Love/Hate, Once). Laura is determined to nurture her talent and has a very bright future ahead of her.
