It's all about FFFT for me: Faith, Family, Friends and Teaching. I'm tellin' ya, those four things keep me going every minute. Of late, I think I've become a teacher hobbyist. Like-- I could work on lesson plans or anything having to do with the classroom or cute picture books or fun experiments till I fall asleep doing it. But, I love summer too which it is now as I type this (of course, I'll probably never do this during a school year. Life is intense for those nine months. I wake up, run around and then crash tired, but strangely fulfilled.) Summer is Ruth and Hannah time. We sleep in and then figure out what to eat when we're home. Summer is also me cooking for everyone at the cabin. I'll cook if they'll come! Oh my gosh, I just realized my whole summer is really only about food. Just Kidding--It's really about my kids who will eat that food and if they will talk to me or play Ultimate Scrabble with me. (I can win them all and don't listen to them if they say differently.) Another thing I like all year long is my kids' friends. They are all so funny, weird, nice and I like it when they talk to me--the old mother. Okay, another great thing about summer is sitting on the front porch and getting people to come and sit and talk to you. That sounds like such an old person thing to do, but there it is and I do love it. People always say such funny things when they're relaxed on a summer's night. You get to hear all the stories they you don't tell you all of the sequestered long winter. This is a strange bio, I guess. What else is a biography but what I like and what I do? I haven't crossed the plains and so I can't write about that to amaze any would-be readers. Oh--I did survive Pioneer Trek in June 2010 and I am 100% proud of that accomplishment because I thought sure they'd have to carry me to the first aid people after a few hours. They didn't and I walked it all and loved it. Okay, you've heard my whole life now. Goodbye.
